Dota 2 is a highly competitive and popular game, always near the top of Steam's most-played charts. There are plenty of tournaments, teams, and, of course, The International—but something is missing. Content creation around the game is lacking. Valve produces some content, but it has been declining for years. Fan-made videos and community-driven content have also dwindled. While there are some streamers and influencers, only one is doing the heavy lifting in the English-speaking scene!
Janne "Gorgc" Stefanovski has become one of the most recognizable names in the Dota 2 community. Whether you know him as the face of Team Bald Reborn, a top-tier streamer, or a content creator who keeps Dota 2 alive on Twitch (especially when there are no tournaments), his influence is undeniable. Over the years, Gorgc has built a dedicated following, not just through high-level gameplay but with his humor, insight, and connection with his audience.
Gorgc’s journey in Dota 2 took off in 2017 when he started streaming on Twitch. Unlike many pros who transitioned to streaming after their competitive peak, he carved out his space as an entertainer first. His mix of skill, engaging commentary, and genuine interaction with viewers quickly set him apart. By 2025, he has amassed over 748,000 Twitch followers and 210,000 YouTube subscribers, making him one of the game’s most influential content creators.
His streams, often spanning 6-8 hours, offer everything from high-ranked gameplay and tournament co-streams to deep dives into strategies. Even without major tournament wins, Gorgc's presence is pivotal in keeping Dota 2 a top-tier game on Twitch.
While streaming remains his main focus, Gorgc has always kept one foot in the competitive scene. He’s played for multiple teams since 2015, but his most well-known project is Team Bald Reborn, a fan-favorite squad that competes in lower-tier tournaments. While they haven’t claimed any major titles, the team embodies the mix of serious competition and fun that defines Gorgc’s approach to Dota.
His time leading Team Bald Reborn showcases his love for the game beyond streaming—proving that even without lifting The Aegis, he’s still a key figure in the competitive ecosystem.
Throughout his career, Gorgc has partnered with some of the biggest names in Dota 2, each collaboration helping solidify his status in the scene.
One of Gorgc’s first big breaks came from his duo streams with Wehsing "SingSing" Yuen, a beloved Dota 2 personality. SingSing was already a household name when Gorgc was just getting started, and their co-streams were a perfect mix of comedy and competitive play. The chemistry between the two resonated with fans, helping Gorgc build an audience of his own.
As SingSing shifted focus to other games, Gorgc capitalized on the gap, stepping up as one of the premier English-speaking Dota 2 streamers. Their early collaborations not only helped launch his career but also highlighted how teaming up with established creators can accelerate growth.
Gorgc’s partnership with OG Esports marked another defining chapter. After OG’s second TI win, he briefly joined them as their official streamer in 2020. However, differences over tournament co-streaming policies led to an early split. In 2023, OG brought him back, this time with more creative freedom, allowing him to take part in content creation and events like The Monkey Business Hub during The International 2023.
His time with OG not only expanded his reach but also cemented his ties with the pro scene, bringing his audience even closer to the game’s biggest moments.

Over the years, Gorgc has co-casted tournaments with pros like Ceb, ATF, Skiter, and Milan, giving fans a unique blend of expert analysis and entertainment. He has also hosted players like SumaiL and MidOne on his stream, creating moments that bridge the gap between competitive Dota and its fanbase. These days, you can catch him co-streaming the BLAST Slam II.
Gorgc is more than just a streamer. He’s a cornerstone of Dota 2’s online presence. His ability to entertain while staying deeply connected to the competitive scene makes him one of the most important figures keeping the game relevant on Twitch. While his tournament achievements may not match those of the pros he streams alongside, his contribution to Dota 2’s ecosystem is just as significant.
While Gorgc dominates the English-speaking Dota 2 scene, the Russian-speaking community has its own powerhouse in Sray228 (Oleg Bocharov), better known as Stray228. As of December 2024, Stray228 was the most-watched Dota 2 streamer on Twitch, racking up over 1.9 million viewer hours in a single month. His streams consistently pull in 10,000-15,000 viewers, with special events pushing that number up to 25,000. His mix of high-energy gameplay, humor, and a strong connection with his audience has made him a favorite among Russian-speaking fans. While Gorgc and Stray228 cater to different regions, they both play a crucial role in keeping Dota 2’s streaming scene alive, proving that even outside of the pro circuit, personalities can define the game’s legacy.
