Two struggling sides meet in ESL Pro League Season 23, but 3DMAX's map pool control gives them just enough of an edge to grind out a result.
Neither team arrives in good form. 3DMAX have dropped four of their last five, while Gaimin Gladiators posted a 33% winrate last month, with losses to G2, 9z and MIBR offsetting their upset win over Liquid. Consistency is a problem for both sides, but 3DMAX at least have structural advantages in the map veto that Gaimin cannot replicate.
Inferno is where 3DMAX do their best work, boasting a 60% winrate across 30 maps in the recent half-year. Gaimin, meanwhile, carry serious Nuke baggage at just 31% and ban it almost half the time, leaving their map pool with clear gaps to exploit. 3DMAX also completely neutralize Mirage before it becomes a factor with a 100% ban rate, keeping the pool firmly on their terms.
Gaimin's 68% winrate on Ancient is a genuine threat and likely earns them a map. But with 3DMAX holding the veto advantage, the map distribution should break in their favor. The odds reflect a 3DMAX win, and the underlying data supports it despite the shaky recent run.
Prediction: 3DMAX to win
