Ursa's momentum is real, ESC's is borrowed.
ESC arrive looking more dangerous on paper than in practice. Their recent-year winrate sits at 76%, but that number has cratered to 56% over the past month, and a fresh loss to Kolesie underlines a team in obvious decline. Ursa, by contrast, have won three straight, including a clean 2-0 over Acend just 21 hours ago. The short-term form gap here is not subtle.
The map pool battle tilts toward Ursa as well. ESC will look to steer this toward Nuke, where their 83% winrate is genuinely scary, but Ursa's Dust2 profile at 65% across 69 maps gives them a rock-solid comfort pick of their own. Ancient, where ESC thrive at 77%, is almost certainly getting banned outright, as opponents do exactly that against Ursa 93% of the time. That strips ESC of a major weapon before a single round is played.
Ursa are not without vulnerabilities. Nuke at 40% is a genuine concern if ESC force it through. But ESC's Inferno problem at 17% hands Ursa a free ban priority route, and a team that just posted three consecutive 2-0s carries a different kind of mental edge than one losing to lower-tier opponents. Ursa to take this cleanly.
