FaZe are in freefall, and Aurora is coming in hot enough to finish the job.
FaZe have lost four of their last five matches, including three straight defeats at PGL Cluj. The only win in that stretch came against Monte. There is nothing in their recent form to suggest a turnaround is coming, and the odds reflect it. Aurora, by contrast, have rattled off four consecutive wins over painN, G2, Legacy, and Astralis heading into this match.
The map pool tilts Aurora's way in a decisive matchup. FaZe lean hard on Nuke as their safety blanket, but Aurora carry a 53% winrate there and have the tools to contest it. More importantly, Aurora's Dust2 is a genuine weapon with 64% winrate across 22 maps. If they get to play their map, FaZe's defensive options narrow fast. Ancient is a mutual nightmare, and both teams will be steering the veto hard away from it.
FaZe do hold a 67% historical head-to-head winrate against Aurora, so this is not a clean sweep of the data. But H2H records mean little when a team is mentally broken and riding a losing streak into an elimination-pressure bracket match. Aurora have the momentum, the map pool control, and the better recent form. Back them to advance.
