FaZe enter this matchup as the more battle-tested side, and despite a bumpy stretch of form, the structural advantages they carry should be enough to get the job done against magic.
Magic will strip Nuke from the table immediately, that much is certain. Their 98% ban rate on that map is a deliberate strategy to defuse FaZe's most reliable weapon. The problem is that removing Nuke does not remove FaZe. Dust2 remains a strong fallback option for the European powerhouse, and magic's own defensive map choices leave plenty of room for FaZe to operate on familiar ground.
Magic's results tell a complicated story. Wins over 3DMAX and Gentle Mates look solid on paper, but back-to-back losses to Falcons and MOUZ exposed the ceiling of this roster. When the opposition reaches a certain quality threshold, magic tends to fold. FaZe, for all their recent inconsistency, occupy a tier above those opponents, and that gap is hard to paper over across a full series.
FaZe are not in peak form, sitting at 48% winrate over the past six months, and their 2-3 record in recent matches is far from convincing. But magic's vulnerabilities are just as real, and FaZe's individual firepower and playoff experience should be the deciding factor in a close but decisive series.
