G2 enter the Stake Ranked Episode 1 Playoffs carrying tournament momentum and the map pool control to shut Nemesis down before the series even begins.
Nemesis arrive in good form, but the numbers tell a more complicated story. Their two strongest weapons are Nuke and a recent winning streak, yet Nuke gets banned out of existence at a 92% rate against G2, stripping Nemesis of their most reliable ground. With Anubis also heavily banned against them, Nemesis are being funneled into a narrow map pool before a single round is played.
G2's recent run at this event has been convincing. Four wins from their last five matches, with the lone blemish a tight 2-1 loss to BetBoom. They are a team that knows how to close out series, and their 60% winrate on Train and Ancient gives them reliable comfort picks to anchor the map veto. Nemesis, by contrast, sit at just 3-2 in their last five and carry a shaky record on Inferno, a map G2 can exploit if the veto trends that way.
The map pool math overwhelmingly favors G2. Nemesis are being denied their best maps and pushed onto ground where they are statistically vulnerable. G2 have the structure, the form, and the veto leverage to take this cleanly.
