Vitality arrive at IEM Atlanta as one of the most dominant sides in the world right now, and NaVi's recent results suggest this match will go the same way as their last meeting.
The numbers tell a straightforward story. Vitality have won nine out of every ten maps played over the last six months, and their form last month was near-perfect. That is not a team that slows down for anyone, and NaVi have no answer for it based on recent head-to-head record. Five straight losses to Vitality is a psychological burden as much as a statistical one, and the 0-3 scoreline from just eleven days ago is still fresh.
Map pool dynamics favor Vitality heavily here. Dust2 is practically a free round for them, and their Nuke and Inferno numbers are elite. NaVi's map weaknesses land precisely in Vitality's comfort zones, which makes the veto a nightmare scenario for the Ukrainian side. Their strengths on Train and Ancient offer some hope, but Vitality's Ancient ban rate suggests they will sidestep that problem entirely.
NaVi have shown they can beat lower-ranked opponents this week, but Vitality are a different level. The head-to-head streak, the map pool mismatch, and the sheer weight of Vitality's current form all point in one direction.
Thunderpick odds(at time of writing):

Vitality to win 1.22
