Vitality's freight train momentum is rolling into Rio, and Falcons have very little track left to stop it.
Team Vitality arrive at IEM Rio 2026 in a state of near-perfect form. An 18-match winning streak backed by a 100% winrate last month is not a hot streak anymore, it is a statement. Five consecutive wins, including a hard-fought series against G2 just hours ago, show a team that keeps winning regardless of the opponent in front of them. Falcons have been solid lately too, winning four of their last five, but the level of competition they faced simply does not compare.
The map pool tells the clearest story here. Vitality boast a 94% winrate on Dust2 across 17 maps, making it practically a free point whenever it appears. Their Inferno is equally dangerous at 73% across 22 maps. Falcons can counter with strong Mirage and Nuke numbers, but their overall 0.54 winrate signals they struggle to maintain that quality against elite opposition. Vitality are elite. This is where the gap shows.
Falcons do hold a 3-2 head-to-head edge in recent meetings, and that cannot be dismissed entirely. However, the analytics make clear that Vitality's current form and ranking fundamentally undermine whatever psychological edge that record provides. Falcons' veto will be under pressure from every angle, while Vitality's predictable Ancient ban is a minor flaw on an otherwise dominant profile.
