The MongolZ have owned Team Liquid all year, and there is no reason to expect anything different in Prague.
Five straight victories over Liquid in 2025 is not a streak built on luck, it is a psychological vice grip. Every time these two sides meet, Liquid walk in carrying the weight of that history, and the Mongolian squad have shown zero intention of loosening their hold. The head-to-head record alone makes this matchup a steep climb for the North Americans before a single map is even picked.
Map selection will only tighten the noose further. The MongolZ own Mirage and Nuke at over 55% across a high volume of maps, giving them two rock-solid anchor picks to build a series around. Liquid's danger maps like Inferno and Dust2 are real threats on paper, but with Ancient and Dust2 sitting as known vulnerabilities for MongolZ, the vetoes will be a chess match that heavily favors the more confident side.
Liquid's recent form is the final nail. A 43% winrate last month, back-to-back losses to Alliance and OG, and a stunning upset defeat to Spirit paint the picture of a team running on fumes. The MongolZ dropped matches to Vitality and NaVi recently, but those are elite opponents. Liquid are not in that conversation right now, and MongolZ will remind them of that in convincing fashion.
