Tundra Esports enter DreamLeague Season 29 as heavy favorites against a Virtus.pro side that looks broken at the seams.
The numbers tell a brutal story for VP. A 25% winrate last month. Four losses in their last five matches, including back-to-back group-stage defeats to Team Spirit and Team Liquid. Their half-year winrate sits at just 37%, and their earnings rank of 21st reflects a team in serious decline. There is very little evidence to suggest they can turn it around here.
Tundra are not without their own concerns. A loss to Team Falcons just 18 hours ago and a shaky 38% winrate last month show real inconsistency at the top. But context matters. They remain a top-ranked side with a 60% half-year winrate and nearly a million in earnings. The infrastructure of a winning team is still there, even if form has wobbled.
The head-to-head record seals it. Tundra hold a 67% overall winrate against Virtus.pro across all prior meetings. VP's 2-1 win on April 19 is the one bright spot they can point to, but a single result does not undo a trend that consistently favors Tundra. Until VP proves they can string wins together, backing them here is a leap of faith the data does not support.
