Sixteen teams land in Bucharest on October 24 with more than a trophy on the line. PGL Masters Bucharest 2026 is the final tier-1 LAN before the November 2 cut-off for PGL Major Singapore invites. Every Swiss series carries ranking weight. Every win moves a team closer to a better Major seed.

That makes Bucharest the most important stop among the CS2 upcoming tournaments this month. It is also a perfect test for Pick'ems players. GoCore's CS2 lobby opens with the first Swiss round, and the early calls will shape the weekly leaderboard.
Our forecast is simple. Team Spirit, Vitality, FURIA, MOUZ and G2 will finish as the top five teams of the Swiss stage.
The format leaves little room for luck. Every Swiss match is a best-of-three. Three wins send a team to the playoffs. Three losses send it home. The top eight advance to a single-elimination bracket that ends with a best-of-five grand final on October 31.
The top five places belong to the two unbeaten 3-0 teams and the three teams that finish 3-1. Those records earn the best playoff seeds. Getting there means winning at least three of four series against tier-1 opposition.

The field is close to full strength. Twelve of the 13 highest-ranked teams from the July VRS accepted invites. Falcons were the only side to decline. Nemiga, Liquid, DENDELE and TYLOO came through the regional qualifiers.
Our CS2 predictions lean on form, firepower and opening draws. Four of our five picks hold the top four spots in the current HLTV ranking. The fifth is the boldest call on the board.

Spirit arrive as the world's top-ranked team. They won the Esports World Cup in August, beating FUT 3-1 in the final, then lifted the BLAST Open title in Porto. donk took MVP honors in Paris. Their opener against BetBoom is a real test, since BetBoom just reached the Thunderpick World Championship final. We still expect Spirit to push for a 3-0 run.

Vitality sit second in the ranking, but they arrive with a change. jL stands in for apEX in Bucharest. A roster shift this close to an event usually costs some coordination. ZywOo, ropz and flameZ give Vitality enough firepower to absorb it. They open against 9z, and a 3-0 finish is well within reach.

FURIA carry the most momentum in the field. They defended their Thunderpick World Championship title in Malta on October 18, beating BetBoom 3-2 in the final without losing a series all event. It was their first trophy of 2026. FalleN's side open against DENDELE, the lowest-ranked team in Bucharest.

MOUZ sit fourth in the world. torzsi anchors the AWP, while Spinx and xertioN supply the rifle impact. This is a side built to grind out long best-of-three series. Their opener against Liquid looks like a favorable first step toward a 3-1 finish.

G2 are our riskiest pick. They rank eighth, below Aurora and Legacy, and open against Natus Vincere in the final series of day one. HeavyGod, MATYS and huNter- can beat anyone on their best maps. If G2 clear the NAVI test, the path to a 3-1 record opens up.
Swiss stages often turn on individual moments. The best CS2 players in this field can flip a series on their own.
donk is the headline name. His aggression sets Spirit's tempo on every map. ZywOo remains the player Vitality trust to win the AWP duel that decides a half. KSCERATO led FURIA's charge in Malta and enters Bucharest in top form. For G2, HeavyGod has to deliver early against NAVI.
Aurora are the biggest threat. They are the reigning PGL Masters Bucharest champions and sit fifth in the world. Legacy, ranked seventh, can also crash the top five. BetBoom arrive fresh off a five-map final in Malta. NAVI hold the key to our G2 call, and a first-day upset would reshape the entire bracket.

The Swiss stage starts Saturday, October 24, with eight best-of-three series on day one. Lock in your opening picks on GoCore before the first match goes live, and see how your read compares with ours. Then tell us which team you think breaks our top five.
