The Swiss stage is over, and the XSE Pro League 2026 has already delivered everything fans hoped for. Upsets, breakout performances, new roster debuts, and even technical issues made the opening five days anything but predictable. Now only eight teams remain, and every series from here on is single elimination.
For Gocore Pick'Ems players, the playoffs are where monthly leaderboard positions are won and lost. Unlike the Swiss stage, there are no second chances. Every prediction is worth +1 point for a correct pick and -1 point for a miss, making each playoff series an important decision.
If you've been following our coverage, you'll know the tournament has already proven that rankings don't guarantee results. Our pre-event guide highlighted BetBoom and 9z as the safest opening-round picks while flagging teams like TYLOO and PARIVISION as dangerous contenders. Five days later, the Swiss stage has reshaped the hierarchy, giving us a much clearer picture of who is ready to compete for the title.
The Swiss stage quickly separated the contenders from the pretenders.
TYLOO exceeded expectations with a flawless 3-0 run, opening the tournament by defeating FaZe before comfortably dispatching PARIVISION and EYEBALLERS. Playing on home soil, they have looked confident on both sides of the map and remain the only Chinese team left in the tournament.

BetBoom lived up to every expectation. They entered Guangzhou as one of the favorites and finished the group stage undefeated, only dropping a single map during their qualification run. Boombl4 continues to lead one of the most disciplined teams at the event, and they have rarely looked uncomfortable.

PARIVISION answered plenty of questions surrounding HObbit's debut. After suffering a heavy defeat to TYLOO in Round 2, they immediately recovered with wins over Lynn Vision and MIBR to secure a 3-1 finish. The roster already looks far more polished than many expected for a first LAN together.

Alliance and Nemesis became the tournament's biggest surprise stories. Alliance recovered from their opening loss to PARIVISION before upsetting tournament favorite 9z in convincing fashion, while Nemesis quietly built momentum through consistent team play and clutch performances to reach the playoffs with a 3-1 record.
The final qualification day produced three dramatic recoveries. 9z, BIG, and FaZe all survived the brutal 2-2 pool to claim the final playoff spots. FaZe's comeback deserves particular praise after opening the tournament with consecutive losses before winning three elimination series in a row. New AWPer JBOEN has quickly become one of the tournament's standout performers, consistently posting elite ratings despite the team's shaky start.
The result is a playoff bracket featuring two undefeated teams, three surprise qualifiers, and three squads that fought through elimination matches just to stay alive.
This matchup perfectly reflects how much the Swiss stage changed expectations.
Before the tournament, 9z were widely viewed as one of the strongest teams in attendance. Instead, they stumbled early with losses to EYEBALLERS and Alliance before narrowly qualifying at 3-2.

TYLOO have taken the opposite path. Their victory over FaZe in Round 1 immediately announced that the home team would not simply be making up the numbers. They followed it with dominant wins over PARIVISION and EYEBALLERS before comfortably qualifying for the playoffs.
9z certainly have enough experience to punish mistakes, but TYLOO have looked far more consistent throughout the tournament.
Prediction: TYLOO wins 2-1
This may be the hardest series to predict.
Alliance recovered brilliantly after their opening loss to PARIVISION, defeating Ninjas in Pyjamas before producing one of the tournament's biggest upsets against 9z.
Nemesis have arguably been even more impressive. They opened with wins over Luminosity and B8, pushed BetBoom to three maps, and survived an exhausting triple-overtime series against EYEBALLERS to secure their playoff berth.

Both teams have exceeded expectations, but Nemesis have looked slightly more composed in pressure situations.
Prediction: Nemesis wins 2-1
This quarter-final pits one of the tournament's strongest new projects against one of its most resilient survivors.
PARIVISION have recovered impressively since their heavy loss to TYLOO. HObbit has added valuable experience, while the rest of the roster has adapted quickly throughout the Swiss stage.

BIG reached the playoffs the hard way. Their victories over Ninjas in Pyjamas and B8 showed resilience, but several maps could easily have gone the other way. Compared to PARIVISION, they have looked less convincing overall.
Unless BIG find another level in the playoffs, PARIVISION should control this series.
Prediction: PARIVISION wins 2-0
This is easily the marquee matchup of the quarter-finals.
BetBoom remain arguably the tournament's most complete team. They navigated the Swiss stage with a perfect record, combining disciplined fundamentals with excellent mid-round calling. Every victory reinforced why they entered Guangzhou among the favorites.

FaZe arrive with plenty of momentum after recovering from an 0-2 start. JBOEN has been outstanding throughout his debut event, while Twistzz and frozen finally found their rhythm during the elimination matches.
Momentum matters, but so does consistency. BetBoom have simply played better Counter-Strike across the entire tournament.
Prediction: BetBoom wins 2-1
If these quarter-final predictions hold, the bracket sets up TYLOO against Nemesis and PARIVISION against BetBoom.
TYLOO should continue riding the momentum of an unbeaten tournament. Their aggressive style has consistently overwhelmed opponents early in maps, and playing in front of a home crowd gives them an extra edge in close rounds. Nemesis have already exceeded expectations, but this feels like the point where the Cinderella run ends.
The second semi-final could easily be the highest-quality series of the tournament. PARIVISION have improved with every match, yet BetBoom have shown fewer weaknesses throughout the event. Their experience in high-pressure playoff matches gives them a slight advantage.
Predicted finalists:
TYLOO vs BetBoom
The tournament seems destined for a clash between its two undefeated Swiss teams.
TYLOO have been the story of the event, energizing the local crowd while proving they can compete against international opposition. Their confidence has grown with every victory.
BetBoom, however, have looked like champions from day one. Their structure, map pool, and consistency make them the safest Pick'ems selection remaining in the tournament. Across a best-of-five series, those qualities usually outweigh momentum.
Prediction:
BetBoom defeats TYLOO 3-1 to win the XSE Pro League 2026 championship.
As always, Gocore Pick'ems reward consistency over reckless gambles. The quarter-finals may produce an upset, but the safest path toward climbing the monthly leaderboard is backing the teams that have demonstrated the highest level across the entire Swiss stage.
