The harder challenge, ESL acknowledged, comes after teams arrive. Eliminated teams face an uncomfortable reality: returning to an arena where thousands of fans are cheering for opponents who knocked them out. ESL's answer is to book hotel rooms and practice facilities for all 16 teams for the full duration of the event, regardless of results.
