All the donk’s Aces at the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024

Danil "donk" Kryshkovets pulled some amazing stuff in Shanghai at the Perfect World Major 2024 to close out the competitive year. He broke several records including the one for the most aces at the Major. To make things even more impressive he did it in high-stakes matches against some of the best teams in the world. Let’s take a look at his four aces!

donk vs. HEROIC (Swiss round 4)

His first ace came at the 12:9 deficit against HEROIC on Mirage. He was left alone against the five HEROIC players on A-site with AK-47. Maybe opposing players made a mistake and offered him 1v1 duels, although his last spray transition killed the two remaining players. Donk won that round, but Spirit lost the next one. The winner was decided on the Dust2 where Spirit won convincingly 13-7.

donk vs. Liquid (Quarterfinals)

Liquid suffered two aces from the young prodigy. The first one came on Anubis at the beginning of the match. Donk completed his ace with the four kills while defending the B site.

His second ace against Liquid was even more impressive. After the even first half 6-6, donk eliminated the enemy team in the pistol round with Glock. Securing the important advantage for the second half. Spirit went on to win the Anubis 13-9. After they won the Dust2 13-11, the semifinals were secured.

donk vs. FaZe (Grand Finals)

After winning the first map in the grand finals against FaZe, Spirit was down 0-3 at the beginning of Ancient. Donk once again pulled some magic to secure his team's first round on the map. He did it with the hero AK-47, only notable weapon his team had in that round. His ace included 1v2 clutch to win the round. Unfortunately, Spirit lost Ancient but came back on Dust2 to win the first Major title in the organization's history.

Most CS2 players will never get a chance to compete at the Major. Most of those who get that opportunity will never achieve an ace at the Major. Young donk managed to achieve four and win the tournament along the way. His performance at Shanghai pushed the limits of what is possible, just like players like zywOo and s1mple did before him.
