The MongolZ claimed their first major CS2 trophy by sweeping Aurora 3:0 in the Esports World Cup 2025 grand final, with Techno earning MVP honors for his standout performance. Falcons secured third place over Vitality, whose ongoing struggles continue to raise concerns about their form.
The MongolZ are the champions of the Esports World Cup 2025 after dismantling Aurora 3:0 in the grand final in Riyadh. The Mongolian squad, often dubbed the warriors of modern CS2, have now cemented their place in history by claiming their first tier-one trophy.
The series was electric from the start. Aurora pushed hard on Mirage with XANTARES and woxic leading the charge, but The MongolZ held strong and forced overtime before closing the map. On Dust2, they read MAJ3R’s playbook perfectly and never let momentum slip, ending 13:9. Nuke was the nail in the coffin. Despite Aurora’s early spark, The MongolZ ran away with the game 13:4, powered by huge rounds from 910 and Senzu.

Sodbayar "Techno" Munkhbold was awarded the EWC 2025 MVP after putting up a monster 1.39 rating across the event. He shined in high-pressure moments, proving he is not just a strong support but a superstar in his own right. Techno called the victory "just the beginning," signaling that The MongolZ are aiming for even more silverware.
His teammate Senzu also posted incredible numbers, finishing the final with a 1.40 rating and sealing his reputation as one of the sharpest rifles in CS2 right now.
The Saudi home crowd had something to cheer about as Falcons took third place after defeating Vitality in the decider. NiKo and m0NESY powered their team to a convincing 2:1 victory, with Nuke ending 13:3 in dominant fashion.
Vitality, meanwhile, continue to look lost after the summer break. Once the unstoppable juggernaut of early 2025, their struggles have raised concerns about whether the dynasty is slipping away for good.

Alongside the tournament action, the special GOCORE Pick’ems competition, run in collaboration with whale.io, wrapped up with a $500 prize pool. Fans tested their knowledge by predicting the results of the EWC 2025 bracket, and the winners will be contacted via email. Participants are encouraged to check their inboxes to see if they struck gold.
The pick’ems format added an exciting layer of engagement for fans worldwide and is expected to make a return in future global CS2 events.
The MongolZ have proven they are not just giant-killers but genuine title contenders. Aurora showed immense promise and Falcons reminded the scene of their potential, while Vitality’s slump leaves fans wondering how long it will last.
With the Esports World Cup now concluded, all eyes turn to September where the biggest event of the year awaits: The International 2025 in Dota 2.
